VIDEO: Rich Whiteman Attacks 2024 Drift Applachia
Drift Appalachia is an organized driving event spawned by old school VHS tapes and low-res footage of what drifters in Japan did on their mountain roads (or touge), something the event’s organizers felt in the States would be an unattainable dream to experience…that is, until now.
Their efforts have finally paid off, making it possible for drivers to legally shred on real mountain roads in the US. But don’t mistake Drift Appalachia as being “another drift organizer”: they’re able to showcase what real drifting is — incredible driving matched to the perfect drifting environment, producing moments that will be looked upon fondly for years to come.
Team ENEOS loves driving at grassroots drifting events like this, with both Rich Whiteman (and Dai Yoshihara) taking part in this year’s festivities. Rich brought out his Nissan S13 to battle after wrapping up a trip to Japan where he tested out his new S15 demo car. “Drifting on the streets of West Virginia with Drift Appalachia is WILD,” he says.
Watch this epic recap of Rich’s experience at the 2024 Drift Appalachia and tell us this isn’t one of the craziest drift events around:
