Quartararo Completes 100th Premier Class GP at 2024 MotoGP Germany

Team ENEOS celebrated a special milestone at the 2024 Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland as Fabio Quartararo competed in his 100th Premier Class MotoGP Race, also his 100th GP with Yamaha. Remy Gardner fulfilled his replacement rider duties for Álex Rins, who’s currently recovering from injuries sustained at the previous Dutch round.

Starting from P14 on the grid, El Diablo held on as he was outside of the pack going into Turn 1, wrestling his YZR-M1 into P11 which he battled constantly for against Pedro Acosta, Marco Bezzecchi and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Quartararo settled into P12 again on lap 9, where it became a solo ride for the remainder of the race. Race leader Jorge Martin crashed on the penultimate lap, which meant the Frenchman crossed the finish line in P11, 17.235sec from first.

It was a tough GP, and I know where we can improve,” said Quartararo. “I think the second half of the season will be better. We’re working hard, so hopefully you see the fruits of our labor soon.

Gardner launched from P21, gaining two positions through the opening turns before settling into P20, engaging in a battle against Johann Zarco and Stefan Bradl. The Aussie tried to defend his position but ultimately gave way, then spent the rest of his time turning in steady lap times and avoiding mistakes at Sachsenring. He completed the German GP in 20th, 50.115sec from the winner.
