Congratulations to our partner Kyle Larson for his fantastic win at the XFINITY Series season finale! A well-deserved end to a fantastic season of strong performances.
Kyle Larson collected his third career NASCAR XFINITY Series win on Saturday afternoon at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Larson’s Crest Chevrolet Camaro led a race-high six times for 118 laps en route to the victory. Larson’s win also propelled Chevrolet to its 17th XFINITY Series manufacturers’ championship. Chris Buescher collected the year end XFINITY Series championship.
During Friday’s practice session, Larson posted the fastest lap and hopes were high for a strong run. After advancing through all three rounds of qualifying, Larson would start in the ninth position.
At the drop of the green, Larson drove his way quickly towards the front. By lap 15, Larson was running in the top five and by lap 30, took the race lead. The young driver would set such a torrid pace that by halfway, he had lapped up to fifth position.
On a late race restart, Larson would be shuffled back to fourth position. Over the final 15 laps, Larson methodically drove his way back to the lead with just four laps to go. Larson would go on give HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi (HSMCG) their first ever win in the XFINITY Series.
