Hattori Motorsports Represents ENEOS for 2024 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Season
In additional IMSA news, Hattori Motorsports is campaigning its Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class (the same series the Pit+Paddock Civic Type R competes in). Co-piloted by Jack Hawksworth and Jaden Conwright, the Supra GT4 made its ENEOS debut with a custom livery at the recent Road America race.
Though it had some issues during practice, the team was able to qualify second for the main race.
It ran smoothly for most of the race and the team was able to maintain P2 (only 0.6sec behind the leader) up until the last 15 minutes of race when disaster struck: Hawksworth crashed the Supra at turn 14, the team forced to retire due to irreparable damage.
“It was tough to swallow losing P2 at the end, but that’s racing,” said Conwright. “Jack and the Hattori Motorsports crew had the ENEOS Supra GT4 running flawlessly, and I appreciate the team for having me in the car. I hope to deliver the results that everyone deserves soon.”
Hattori Motorsports adds the Supra GT4 is beyond repair, so they’re planning to replace it with a new car in the near future. Stay tuned for further team updates.
