On Using ENEOS:
Gear Oil
I love the gear oils. When I replaced my manual transmission fluid to ENEOS in the Rx-8 the shifts were noticeable smoother. It felt seamless in transitioning for both up and down shifts. It felt like butter.
I can’t wait until the Rx-7 is up and running and I will immediately replace the transmission fluids in there to ENEOS.
Motor Oil
In the RSX when I tried out the motor oil… the first thing I noticed was how much lighter the engine felt. It wanted to rev faster and just felt more responsive throughout the entire RPM band.
I typically only use Honda transmission fluids in Hondas but when I replace the clutch (hopefully not until next year) I will definitely try out ENEOS.
Editor’s note: ENEOS Gear Oil is formulated to work well with
most manual transmssions, including Ryan’s Honda.

Both the Rx-8 and Rx-7 run with ENEOS 75W90 gear oil in the transmission. I do have a 2002 Acura RSX Type-S which I now run the 5W20. Eventually I will switch to ENEOS gear oil.

My Rx-7 has been restored. It sat for about 10 years from 1999 to 2009 when i bought it. Had the engine rebuilt and the car was running by 2011. Everything was stock for about 4 years until this winter I decided it was time to take it to the next level. I’m shooting for 400hp and a full widebody and cosmetic make over.
