ARX: Arpin Takes 3rd in Season Closer
In Round 4, the season finale of Americas Rallycross (ARX), “World RX USA,” held September 29 – 30 at COTA in Austin, Texas, our partner Steve Arpin landed on the podium with a 3rd-place finish in the Final.
In Q1 of the semi-final, Arpin battled against Tanner Foust to take 2nd. In Q2, he battled Foust again with the same result. Q3 saw Arpin drop back to 7th behind teammate Ken Block’s 1st and with Foust and Speed coming in 4th & 5th. An 8th place finish in Q4 landed him in row two for semi-final 1, where he finished 2nd behind Foust.
Arpin started the Final with Block on the 2nd row behind Foust and Speed. Foust and Arpin chose not to take the Joker on the first lap, putting them in 1st and 2nd. Arpin took his joker on the third lap, putting himself behind Foust and Speed. Foust took his joker on lap four, but held on to his lead. Ken Block had an issue with his car, coming in last with a DNF.
