Arpin Brings ENEOS Ride-Along Heat to Gridlife South Festival

Following its successful Midwest Festival, Gridlife took its motorsports extravaganza to the Dirty South, held on August 23-25 2019, to one of America’s most cherished racing venues: Road Atlanta for the Gridlife South Festival, a place where drivers are let loose in several driving disciplines, including road racing, time attack, drifting and autocross.

Naturally, as a series sponsor, ENEOS had to be there. And to make our visit sweeter, we teamed up with our friends at Super Street to give one lucky reader the ultimate Gridlife experience. For William Tran from Houston, TX, his race-prepped, daily driven Honda S2000 received the necessary votes to push him forward, and for his efforts we rewarded him with a spot in the ENEOS booth booth, VIP passes, plenty of oil to try and covered his travel expenses to and from the event.

But we didn’t stop there; we wanted to ensure Gridlife attendees could also have a one-of-a-kind experience of their own, so we invited ENEOS-sponsored ARX Rallycross driver Steve Arpin to provide ride-along opportunities in his Fiesta Supercar with one simple proviso: either be selected via social media or sign-up in-person at the ENEOS booth.

After making random selections across Gridlife, Arpin and ENEOS Instagram channels, our select group of enthusiasts were strapped into the passenger seat and Steve gave them a master class on why he’s so good at what he does best: drive fast and with precision. The smiles on everyone’s face when they finished their ride-along was priceless.

For most who attend Gridlife, it’s an opportunity to get more seat time in their own project car, or cheer on a friend as they put themselves in the line of competitive fire. For ENEOS, it’s a way for us to connect with car enthusiasts beyond offering the finest high-performance lubricants; by providing thrills that will last a lifetime.
