2020 NASCAR Race Postponements
As you are undoubtedly aware, the Coronavirus has led to the postponement and cancellation of many motor races and events around the country. As a sponsor of Bill McAnally Racing with the Gracie Trotter #99 ENEOS Toyota Camry in the ARCA Menards Series, and Derek Kraus in the ENEOS-sponsored Toyota Tundra for McAnally-Higelmann Racing, we wanted to clarify the current situation.
Below is a statement from NASCAR regarding their postponement of national series race events through May 3. In addition to Atlanta this past weekend, it also includes the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races at Homestead, Texas, Richmond and Dover.
STATEMENT FROM NASCAR
“The health and safety of our fans, industry and the communities in which we race is our most important priority, so in accordance with recent CDC guidance, NASCAR is currently postponing all race events through May 3, with plans to return to racing in Martinsville. We appreciate the patience of our fans and we look forward to returning to the racetrack. We intend to hold all 36 races this season, with future rescheduling soon to be determined as we continue to monitor this situation closely with public health officials and medical experts. What is important now transcends the world of sports and our focus is on everyone’s safety and well-being as we navigate this challenging time together.”
