Yoshihara Test Drives 1000HP GT-R in Australia
ENEOS ambassadors Dai Yoshihara and Evasive Motorsports continued with plans to attend the 2024 World Time Attack Challenge despite unexpected setbacks with US Customs that forced the Evasive S2000RS to miss its ship for Sydney, Australia.
Upon touchdown they were instantaneously welcomed by the hospitality of the Australian tuning community when GT Evolution and Dahtone Racing provided the team with keys to a pair of R35 GT-Rs. Both shops are reputable and well-established, known for either distributing aftermarket parts across Australia or tuning GT-Rs for the entire continent.
Instead of resting, Dai and Evasive, joined by our friends at Pit+Paddock and Bowls Films, went straight to work, taking these high-powered R35s (accompanied by a few other GT-R variants from different generations) out for a cruise through downtown Sydney, grabbing content ahead of the WTAC festivities.
Dai says, “The Australian freeways and tunnels remind me of Japanese wangans — they’re well maintained, quiet at night, and are the perfect playground for high-speed highway battles.”
The perfect start with these legendary JDM machines before heading to the World Time Attack Challenge, if you ask us!
