Dai Drives Episode 2: E46-Powered E30 M3

The second episode of Dai Drives introduces us to an ultimate driving machine: a 1990 E30 M3 powered by an E46 M3 engine! Sure, this conversion has been done before but you simply cannot find a cleaner example than this.

The timeless M3 chassis doesn’t need much to stand out, and we’re glad the owner made tasteful choices instead of going over the top. ENEOS ambassador Dai Yoshihara didn’t flinch when Evasive Motorsports handed him the keys for a quick test drive.

“It has beautiful body lines,” Dai said. “Classic, just like me! No frills, no modern electronics. Just become one with the M3.”

The highlight is obviously the engine bay, which is now home to a straight-6 S54 engine pushing over 300hp. Other enhancements include carbon fiber accents such as the door panels, and Recaro seats with stitching to match the steering wheel.

While Evasive didn’t build the car, they were storing it for a good friend. Hopefully they told him before he gets to see the video!
