Dai had a strong and smooth lead run against Matt Field. Matt followed with less angle and was jerky throughout his run. On Dai’s follow, he was able to maintain close proximity while keeping his run clean. Dai advanced to the Top 16.

Following Chelsea Denofa on the first run, Dai understeers towards the end of Outer Zone 1, giving him a zero. However, Chelsea independently made contact with the wall on Outer Zone 2, also resulting in a zero. To avoid hitting him, Dai slowed down and ends up going into the wall himself. During Dai’s lead run, Chelsea hits the wall again at Outer Zone 2, resulting in a zero. Dai advanced to the Great 8.
GREAT 8
With Odi Bakchis leading on the first run, Dai’s able to maintain good proximity the entire way. When Dai leads, Odi keeps it tight, nearly identical to the first run. The judges give the win to Odi despite the very close battle. Dai finishes 8th for Irwindale.
With the conclusion of the season finale at Irwindale Event Center, Dai finishes 9th place overall in the 2019 Formula Drift championship standings with a total of 360 points.
